Mettricks Portswood is where our coffee story takes shape. Home to Ascapart, our very own roastery, the café is filled with the rich, fresh aroma of beans roasted on-site — carefully and responsibly sourced, roasted by head roaster Wilson with care, craft, and giant heart in every cup.

Housed in a historic old bank building, Portswood blends high ceilings and original features with warm, industrial charm. It’s a place made to linger: mornings start with freshly roasted coffee, afternoons drift by over brunch with friends or a flat white, and the space buzzes with life and conversation.

Portswood has grown into a true neighbourhood hub. Families gather for brunches, friends catch up, and the café welcomes the local community with open arms. Every visit reflects our care for quality, craft, and connection, and the café is a space shaped by the people who fill it.
